Tacoma On The Go (TOTG)

Tacoma On the Go (TOTG) is Tacoma’s resource, convener, and advocate for safe mobility for all. Their vision is a Tacoma where everyone can walk, ride, bike, and roll with dignity. Originally called Downtown On the Go, they started as a program of the Tacoma Pierce-County Chamber of Commerce. In 2025, they changed their name to reflect their commitment to safe, affordable, and accessible transportation beyond Downtown.

In early 2026, Seva Workshop partnered with TOTG to study equity in Tacoma’s transportation system and create communications materials to reflect their new name and refreshed vision. The deliverables included data analysis, mapping, social media storytelling, and a one-pager. They were designed for a wide audience and broad distribution through TOTG’s website and social media with clear messaging and calls to action. The project team produced two key visualization and infographic narratives: one focused on raising awareness about the organization’s name change and expanded geographic reach, and a second expressing their commitment to centering racial equity. Seva analyzed transportation and mobility safety data along with demographic data on race and economic status and created an equity focused infographic reel highlighting racial disparities in access to safe transportation infrastructure and mobility choices.
