The Northwest Community Bail Fund (NCBF)
King, Pierce, and Snohomish County, WA / 2026
The Northwest Community Bail Fund (NCBF) is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to abolishing cash bail and pretrial detention. NCBF reduces the harm caused by the cash bail system by posting bail, at no cost, for community members in King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties who can’t afford it, providing them with the opportunity to defend themselves from a position of freedom. NCBF prioritizes bail assistance for Black, Indigenous, people of color, transgender, and gender-expansive community members: those at greatest risk in the criminal punishment system.
Seva Workshop is leading the development of NCBF’s Strategic Plan, which outlines an actionable, forward-looking strategy that advances NCBF’s mission over the next five years. Crafted from workshops and a survey with NCBF staff and Board members, the Strategic Plan visualizes a roadmap of concrete goals, actions, and measures of success that relate to NCBF’s strategic priorities. To support fundraising efforts and public understanding of NCBF’s work, Seva also used data storytelling best practices to develop a social media carousel post that conveys NCBF’s impact as a revolving bail fund.
